Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA)

SORA is a methodology developed by EASA to assess the safety risks of drone operations in the specific category. It helps operators conduct flights safely by identifying operational limits and technical requirements, and by supporting personnel training and operations manual development. SORA considers risks both in the air and on the ground and results in a safety level indicator called the Specific Assurance and Integrity Level (SAIL).
